Langley Picture Book of the Year
Each week the Primary students will have one of the ten Langley Picture Books of the Year nominees read aloud to them during their library time. In April, the students will be given the opportunity to vote for their favourite out of these ten nominated picture books. Schools across Langley take part in this program, and in May the Langley Picture Book of the Year for 2014 will be announced.
Check back here each week at the titles are posted, and take some time to talk with you child about which of the books they like the best. Most classes will have the opportunity to do some activities related to the stories.

Ask your child to look at something man-made, and tell you where they might see that colour in nature.
Also, since we have done two books now, which book do they prefer, and why? Remember, they will have to choose one book at the end of the 10 weeks!
